Tervehdys kaikki mailagurut, Mulla on tällä hetkellä testissä Clevelandin Launcher 400. Nupissa on kulmaa 8,5 astetta ja vartena on joku stiffivartinen Launcher Gold, josta sanotaan, että ’co-designed by Fujikura…’. Onko jollakin teistä kokemuksia kyseisestä mailasta tai varresta? Tai vertailupohjaa muihin draivereihin? Tämänhetkinen draiverini on 8,5-asteinen HRG 2 (ERC II:n halpa kopio), jossa on stiffi UST PF 75 -varsi.

Nice looking classic driver. Very good distance, and forgiveness in this club. The only real negative is that all lofts except 8.5º have a closed face. A very good driver. Does almost everything well, but nothing spectacular. Quite solid.
great driver, great value, very very forgiving, has a very high launch angle with the stock shaft, tons of carry. for $250 brand new… it’s a deal.
LOOK OUT LEFT! I had the 9.5* and while it was long, it wanted to go left. Sound/feel was so-so, though powerful feeling it was tinky. I have played tour protos of this club, and those were about a thousand times better in setup and sound.
This is one of the best drivers I have owned, but don’t be fooled by the $250 new price because you will need to reshaft it. The stock shaft left much to be desired, but I reshafted with a fujikura VP90 and love it. By reshafting I gained 20+ yards and much better accuracy. Also be careful because anything over 8.5* the face is closed. Very long!!
Great driver for the price but I agree that it needs a shaft upgrade. Put a GD YS-7 in it and it is a very solid club. Classic look and shape — it doesn’t look like 330cc.
This is truly one great driver. I have tried several shafts in here to find the perfect combo and for me after talking with Bighitter, I put the Fuji VistaPro 80 in X-Flex in my 9.5* at 44 inches and have been more than happy.
Consistency is excellent, if I want a fade or draw, I can get it. The distance is really good, averaging about 280 to 290 off the tee. Fact, not fantasy.
I think if you try and find the right shaft, flex and length combo, you will really be happy with the Launcher….Just my opinion, your mileage will vary…
Have the GD-7 Stiff in 9.5. Like the club except the closed face. Sure wish I could find a tour version. Im sure that face is square/open.
All good but the stock shaft that sucks….
Tried both stock shaft an fuji vp80 both in extra stiff at the same time and the vp kicked Butt….
nice looks!!
Tried a friend’s launcher. It was 9.5 w/ stiff stock shaft. THought it was a great club that disguised its size well. Very long, but tended to hook it quite a bit. Maybe with a square face or different shaft this club would be better. Flight seemed very high as well.
I love my Launcher. Very long and suprisingly forgiving. I’d have to agree that the stock shafts are a bit soft and too low of a kick point for me. I’m in the process of having mine reshafted with a Penley ETA this week so hopefully I’ll get a little more length and a lower ball flight.
I hit and owned this driver during the spring. I put a UST Accra 75 x-stiff shaft in it and i hated it. it seemed to be so dead that it felt like i was hitting a persimmon club. maybe the shaft just didn’t match up with the driver, i dont know, all i know is it was awful.
Great driver, unbelievably LONG. Although, the closed face is a doesnt help me with my hooks . 4 stars
I have a UST PF75 Stiff in my Launcher …this combo plays absolutely amazing for me. I found the stock Fuji played a little soft, ever so often I would pull out a ugly duck hook, but it was still very long. Now with the new shaft it plays much straighter, my drives are much tighter but still long as ever! I play the 9.5* which does sit a little closed but that’s the lowest loft I could get in left. None the less this club is great…long and pretty forgiving, I would recommend it to anyone.
not too bad – nice trajectory, pretty forgiving, and pretty long. not the best in any one category, but i liked it in the 330 incarnation. . . a little closed for my taste — i’m headed left with the club unless i make some serious adjustments. . . the ultra forgiving 400cc clubhead bombs it dead straight. . .
i really like this driver i have a 8.5* but what shaft goes good with it. i have the factory in it now and am looking for a new one so whats the best combo with the 330
Perhaps it’s the shaft, perhaps it’s the range balls, perhaps it’s the electronic gadget that measures ball speed… but the 400 isn’t all that.
I hit about 20 balls with the 400cc club 8.5, with the stock shaft at the range and that little machine dilly that is suppose to tell you your ball speed and carry distance told me that I averaged 154MPH and a carry distance of 242yds.
I took out my 975D with an EI70 tourstiff shaft and averaged 151MPH and average carry distance of 240.
Balls didn’t seem any straighter nor further. Ball flight was about the same as well.
I would think that my club with 5 year old technology would be far inferior to this club. But to drop $250 on a club with a shaft made my the infamous fujikara – I think I need to see significant improvement.
I love this driver. I have an 8.5 that I put a GD YS-7SX in, cut it to 44.5 inches and have a great combo of control and distance. The trajectory is a bit higher than I would like, but I get tons of carry from this combo.
I bought a second 8.5 Launcher from a buddy and put a HTD GXS in it. The GXS brought the trajectory down and gave me a more boring ball flight. In addition, the GXS has a very solid, stable feel to it.
The Titleist has left the building…or the bag in this case. I’m coming from a 975J, so my technology is a little old, but on center hits, I’m about 20 yards farther than my J. You have to be cross-eyed to misshit this driver.
Kaikella kunnioituksella Clevelandiä kohtaan, mutta yhden varren katkaisu kokemuksella, (enkä tosiaan hakannut sitä keppiä maahan!!), usko meni mailaan.
Eikä mennyt takuuseen(takuuta hoitava mies on sitten p.päitten kuningas), mutta se onkin sitten jo toinen, hyvin mielenkiintoinen juttu!
Moro iron byron
